HISTORY
Chamomile is a relatively small fragrant annual herb, with a round hollow stem and sharply cut leaves, native to most of /Europe and Western Asia and naturalized throughout North America. The fact that the Germans often refer to German chamomile as “alles zutraut”, meaning capable of anything, gives some idea of the high regard in which this plant is held. Chamomile’s panacea-like properties and numerous indications have led many people to refer to it rather confusingly as “European ginseng”.
